Fieldworks debuts Liugong 842ZIII Wheel Loader and Dieci 45.17 Icarus Telescopic Forklift at National Heavy Equipment Show Toronto
Fieldworks Construction Equipment made its presence felt in the Ontario marketplace with a strong showing at the National Heavy Equipment Show in Toronto, March 3-4. With a wide range of fleet on display attendees were able to inspect and sit in equipment from one of the newest entrants to the Ontario equipment market. Machines included the Liugong 842ZIII Wheel Loader, a 3 yard bucket machine with quick attach and fork carriage, the Liugong 904, a powerful 4 tonne excavator, the Liugong 365A Skid Steer, a 65 hp powerhouse and the Dieci 45.17 Icarus Telescopic Forklift. The 45.17 Icarus is the newest model from the world renowned telescopic forklift manufacturer Dieci and was introduced to give buyers an alternative to the standard 10,000lb/54’ reach machines on the market currently. Many visitors commented on the quality, cab space and features of the Dieci machine.
Fieldworks Equipment also supplied a machine for the Backhoe Rodeo, the Liugong 766III. The machine ran perfectly for the first day and many entrants were impressed with the finish and smooth controls of the machine. After a small technical issue on the second day caused by back pressure from the emissions venting system installed by the rodeo organizers, our 24/7 technical support team in Texas was able to help us get the machine up and running for the final session of the show. Next year we will make our skill test more durable. We would like to thank all of the rodeo entrants for their patience and feedback on the machine. We would also like to thank show and rodeo organizers for the opportunity to participate and have a machine in the rodeo. Special thanks to Mark Cusack and David Fidler.
The most interest from show visitors was in the Liugong 842ZIII. This machine comes standard with a US built Cummins Tier III diesel engine, ZF transmission, Kayaba Cylinders, Kawasaki hydraulic pumps, full ROPS/FOPS cab heat and air conditioning and reversible cooling fan, quick attach coupler and 60” forks carriage. With over 900 brochures given to visitors we are excited about the positive feedback and interest shown.
We would like to thank every involved with the show and all the visitors who stopped at the booth for making our first National Heavy Equipment Show such a success. Special thanks to Classic Party Rental in Brantford for the popcorn machine and supplies used at the show.

Fieldworks attended the Landscape Ontario Show
LiuGong 904C Excavator
Fieldworks Construction Equipment made its first public exhibition of the Liugong Construction Machinery line at the Landscape Ontario Show in January 2011. Over three days we had hundreds of visitors stop at our both to view the LiuGong 904C Excavator, displays and presentations on the complete LiuGong line.
This compact machine was a big hit with show visitors who commented most on the overall quality of the equipment, it’s spacious and well-appointed cab and the operating capacities of the machine.
We had many landscape and industry professionals critique this machine and we have since had two customers place orders for machines. The 904C is the smallest excavator manufactured by Liugong, one of China’s most established and globally integrated construction equipment manufacturers. It is based on the same design platform and has the same hydraulic system design as Liugong’s larger excavators, which has allowed designers to build and extremely powerful and compact excavator. With the ability to mount quick couplers, various attachments and auxiliary hydraulics plumbed to the head standard, the 904C is an amazing value package. The Tier III diesel Yanmar engine also impressed many show goers.
International 4/5 TerraStar™
Fieldworks and its affiliate partner Altruck International also featured the new International Terrastar. The class 4/5 TerraStar™ comes from 100 years of commercial-duty truck experience. The truck is built on the three pillars of commercial-duty performance: commercial-grade components, ease of operation and efficient power. TerraStar’s efficient power comes from the all-new 300-hp MaxxForce® 7, an engine purpose-built for medium duty. It also features MaxxForce Advanced EGR, the only no-hassle, no liquid urea solution for 2010 emissions.
Component-wise, TerraStar’s 80,000 PSI frame rails rank best-in-class. It also features a huck-bolted frame and an Allison 1000 transmission. With its commercial grade heritage and power and dependability it was also generated a lot of interest from visitors.
Matt Kirby, Product Specialist with Altruck International was amazed by the visitor feedback. “Its been a while since we’ve seen such a response to a new product release. Its sounds like many in the landscape industry have been waiting for a truck just like the Terrastar.” Kirby said.
We would like to thank everyone that stopped by the booth and made enquiries on our products.
We would also like to congratulate Rory Markle from Aquascapes on winning the card draw.
We look forward to seeing everyone next year.
